Lloyd Darling - Producer, Writer, and Director
Lloyd Darling is originally from Sydney Australia but has called Vancouver, Canada his home for twelve years. After success in the theatre industry Lloyd co-formed the film company Fresh As A Daisy Films with his film partner Connor Campbell in early 2016. Their first short film On The Way written, produced, and directed by Darling was accepted into The Best Shorts Film Festival 2016 in San Diego USA and the online Vancouver Canada Lift Off Festival in 2017. Since then he has gone on to produce, write, and direct other shorts which include The Forgotten Man, Poison,Upset State,The Gardener and Fete.
Connor Campbell - Producer and Director of Photography
Connor Campbell was born in Edmonton, Alberta, but has lived in Vancouver since 2005. Connor has over 4 years of editing and cinematography experience starting with his first project the feature film Far Out. In 2016 Connor Co-Founded Fresh As A Daisy Films and has been the cinemaphotographer and editor for On The Way, The Forgotten Man, Poison, Upset State, The Gardener and Fete
Jon MacIntyre - Producer
Jon MacIntyre was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia where he received theatre training. He relocated to Vancouver for film training as well as to pursue stage and film work in a larger market. As part of Fresh as a Daisy, Jon has worked in front of the camera as an actor, as well as a producer and in various roles as part of the production team. Most notably Jon starred in On the Way with Lloyd Darling which has been part of the 2017 Best Shorts film festival in Santa Barbara, CA as well as the 2017 Online Vancouver Lift-off film festival.
Majd Qutob - Project Manager and Communications
Majd Qutob was born in Amman, Jordan and raised in Vancouver. Majd holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration in Accounting and has approximately 7 years project management and negotiations experience in British Columbia. Professional accomplishments include 3 Deputy Minister’s Awards in innovation and creativity on past projects.
David Picking - Composer
Originally from the UK, where he had an extensive background as a performing musician, David relocated to Vancouver in the early 2000s and became active as a composer for film, web and radio. Since then, he has collaborated with several local independent filmmakers, with a particular focus on short films in the drama and horror genres.
Meghan Hemingway - Actor
Meghan is an actress and a writer currently based in Vancouver, BC. Vancouver theatre credits include Hamlet’s Ophelia, Sandy in Cuckoos Nest, Titania in Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Juror Ten in 12 Angry Juror. She starred in Tabatha Golat’s United Guys Network and garnered a nomination for Best Supporting Actress from the Austin Comedy Film Festival. Her comedic turn in Heirloom had audiences laughing at the Raindance Film Festival. Meghan considers herself lucky to be a part of the Fresh As A Daisy team. She works with Lloyd Darling whenever she gets the chance. She played Nadine in Upset State and Selena in The Gardener.
Jon MacDonald - Actor
Jonathan MacDonald is an actor originally from Nova Scotia. After relocating to the West Coast he got involved with the Vancouver theatre scene, where he met Lloyd Darling and Connor Campbell. After realizing their mutual love of film and meeting other like minded individuals They founded Fresh As A Daisy which is still going strong.
Dave Taylor - Marketing
Dave Taylor is a local artist, writer, musician, and nurse in Vancouver. He began working with Fresh As A Daisy Films in the role of sound and photography on the Film The Gardener, and has since taken on the role of marketing and producer on for VHS-The Vancouver Horror Show. Dave Taylor is the founder of the VHS.
Michael Wittman - Transportation Coordinator
Michael Wittman was born and raised Vancouver, B.C. Michael is the Transportation Coordinator for almost all the Fresh AS A Daisy Films productions and projects.
